Behind the Masks
We are a professional DJ duo with over 16 years of combined DJ experience. We will perform a unique music experience to hype up your event. From clubs, to festivals, art installations, clothing pop-ups, and more: we have the equipment and expertise to truly create a performance in any environment.

University of Illinois
Andrew (Sock) and Chris (Buskin) started their DJ careers separately at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Andrew held residencies at the Red Lion and Kams, and also opened for several artists at Canopy Club (including Borgore and Bear Grillz). Chris held residencies at Brothers Bar and the Red Lion, DJ'd at corporate and university functions, and started a DJ student organization to teach others. They started performing Back to Back (B2B) shifts together in 2019.
Formation
The two became Sock and Buskin and created a walking DJ setup to wander Chicago mid-pandemic while clubs and bars were closed. They grew a following for their setup and began live-streaming on Tik Tok. They were featured on Hits101, a Los Angeles based radio station with a mashup mix. They opened for the artist Cheat Codes at a sold-out 750 person venue.

As Chicago began to open up, Sock and Buskin began to expand their portfolio. They started performing at many of the top clubs and bars throughout Chicago:

EDC at Sea, EDC Las Vegas
The duo adds a second Soundboks battery powered speaker and begins to do wireless back to back wallking sets. This catches the attention of EDC and they are hired to perform both mobile and stage performances at EDSea in November, and later EDC Las Vegas in May.

What is the setup?
They are essentially two nearly idential, self sufficient DJ rigs. We have the world's loudest battery powered speakers strapped to our backs (made by Soundboks) with battery powered DJ boards mounted in front of us.
We attached SKAA audio transmitters and recievers to send and recieve the audio in super high quality with ultra-low latency. This allows us to sync our speakers and output a combined sound, regardless of who is playing. It also allows us to plug a reciever into a standard club setup and send the audio live without our speakers.
What results is a dynamic (and loud) DJ performance.
The Pair
Sock (Andrew)
The remix expert, Sock has been pushing the genre envelope for the duo. At this point, no genre is safe: he's creating mashups and remixes of everything from Trap, House, DnB and Techno. The man just so happens to have picked up a medical degree as a fun side gig.
Buskin (Chris)
The builder, Buskin designed and prototyped these setups from the ground up. He's been on the forefront of the technology front, ensuring the duo's setup remains world-class. His mechanical engineering day job did make the task slightly easier.
